Honesty, tolerance and respect are the foundation of our communication.
At our kindergarten, we listen carefully to your expectations, needs and suggestions. Our constant communication is facilitated by weekly letters sent by e-mail, parent meetings, open days and daily conversations with lead teachers, thematic meetings and workshops.
Information
meetings
Throughout the year, we host information meetings for parents interested in enrolling their children at The Private Bilingual Little Traveller Kindergarten. During those meetings, you will have an opportunity to speak to the management, visit our premises and learn about how we operate.
Initial annual organizational meetings
At the beginning of every academic year, we invite the parents of 4, 5, 6 year-olds to participate in organizational meetings, during which we discuss the structure of our plan (we present the format of the didactic work, event schedule, textbooks) and cover the particular provisions from the Rulebook, the Statute, service provision agreement and Safety Procedures.
We invite the parents of 3 year-olds in the last week of August to join the summary meeting of the adaptation period. The meetings with management, lead teachers and our in-house psychologist are also held in the same week, with the aim of talking through the principles of functioning of the youngest group.
In October and in January, we invite parents of Foundation Year pupils to individual meetings relating to the initial, mid-year and final school readiness diagnoses.
In February, June and November, we invite parents of other age groups to consultations and individual meetings summarising the achievements and educational progress of the pupils.
Open days with English teacher
Once a year, after receiving descriptive assessment results from English, parents have an opportunity to discuss them with English teachers on an individual basis.
Didactic demonstration classes
Twice a year at The Little Traveller in groups of 4, 5 and 6 year-olds we organise didactic demonstration classes for parents. Your participation will provide an opportunity to observe your child in a class setting, see their progress in acquiring new cognitive, emotional, social and physical skills.
Language demonstration classes
During every term, we invite all parents (except for the youngest group) to join our English demonstration classes.
Additional
information
Festive meetings
At The Little Traveller, we regularly organize art and social events during festive season, during which parents have an opportunity to engage with their children and witness how they act and play together.
Talent shows
At the closing ceremony of every academic year, the coaches and instructors responsible for extracurricular activities organize shows and presentations during which our pupils can show off their skills and talents acquired throughout the year at e.g. ballet classes, modern dance, piano lessos and acting/directing workshops.
Academic year closing
and graduation ceremony
For many years, our tradition has been a ceremony which brings an academic year at The Little Traveller to a close, and is held at the Łowicka Cultural Centre. The scene is filled with our Little Travellers who prepare a two-hour show to say farewell to the past academic year. The highlight of the show is awarding our fresh graduates with diplomas and gifts as well as their performance of Polonaise dance by M.K. Ogiński.
Workshops
with The Little Traveller Graduates
In cooperation with private primary schools in Warsaw, we organize classes and educational games for the oldest kindergarten age groups and year 1 and year 2 primary schools students who are The Little Traveller's alumni.
Such meetings aim at facilitating integration between the kindergarten's and school's community. At the same time, such workshops provide an opportunity for our pupils to get to know the life at school and responsibilities that come with being a year 1 student.
